DANIEL 2:32, 37-38

DANIEL 2:32, 37-38

In the centuries that followed, history recorded the fulfillment of each prophecy. (The toes may be the one exception and may represent a political system yet to come.) Each portion of the statue represents a world empire (verse 21).

In the Times of the Gentiles from Nebuchadnezzar’s reign, until today, there have been four World Empires. The next empire that will come prophesied, according to this interpretation, will be the Kingdom of Christ.

Consider the historical fulfillments:

• The head made of gold (verses 32, 37-38)
Famous ruler: Nebuchadnezzar
Historical fulfillment: The Babylonian Empire, 626-539 B.C.

As materials go down the statue they diminish in value, but increase in strength. Our society grows less and less in moral value. It is diminishing in personal values.
