Daniel 2:34-35 to 2:44-45
The rock represents the kingdom of Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ. This kingdom will fill the whole earth.
“A rock was cut out, but not by human hands.”
“The time of those kings” refers to the ten kings.
JOSHUA 8:30-31
The altar of sacrifice had to be of uncut stones by human hands. They could not hone or cut a stone to make the altar.
The Kingdom to come in Daniel 2 has only been cut by God. The picture here is God saying in the most literal and Sovereign terms “No man cut the hands and feet of my Son.” The stone was cut by the Father, Himself; so, that men and women like us could be saved. He is the Rock.
