Miracles at Sea
The fifth sign miracle that John included in his Gospel was a private affair for the disciples alone (John 6:15–21). What happened on the troubled Sea of Galilee revealed Jesus as master of the elements. John makes no explanatory comment on this incident, but its impact on the disciples is evident in Peter’s words: “We have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God” (6:69, emphasis added).
