JOHN 6:16-21 NKJV

Now when evening came, His disciples went down to the sea, got into the boat, and went over the sea toward Capernaum. And it was already dark, and Jesus had not come to them. Then the sea arose because a great wind was blowing. So when they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and drawing near the boat; and they were afraid. But He said to them, “It is I; do not be afraid.” Then they willingly received Him into the boat, and immediately the boat was at the land where they were going.
JOHN 6:16-21 NKJV

John 6:16–18 His disciples went down to the sea: In Mark 6:45 we discover that the disciples went to the sea because Jesus compelled them to do so. It was already dark by the time the disciples got out on the lake. The wind began to pick up, setting the stage for Jesus to provide another revelation of Himself.
John 6:19–21 This miracle, the fifth sign recorded by John, pointed to Jesus’ deity. Only God could walk on water, calm the sea, and supernaturally transport the disciples to their destination.
