THE CREATION OF THE EARTH AND MAN, AND THE FALL OF THE SHINING ONE (Part 2)

THE CREATION OF THE EARTH AND MAN, AND THE FALL OF THE SHINING ONE (Part 2)

In the book of Genesis, chapter 1, we have an account of the creation of the earth in 3 stages:

1. THE ORIGINAL EARTH (Genesis 1:1)
2. THE CHAOTIC EARTH (Genesis 1:2)
3. THE RESTORED EARTH (Genesis 1:3-31)

1.) THE ORIGINAL EARTH

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. (Genesis 1:1).

The word for God (אֱלֹהִים ʾelōhiym, Heb.) refers to the Supreme and Exceeding God, the Great and Mighty God. It calls attention to the fullness of His divine power and preeminence as Creator and Preserver of all things. The very essence of God's true being is seen in His creative acts establishing Himself as the One and Only True Creator of the earth long before the beginning of time.
This creation of the original or pre-adamite earth was in the dateless past and covers the whole period of the formation of the earth and its preparation for the habitation of man. The manner of the creation of the original earth is not revealed in Scripture, but it was no doubt a most beautiful earth. Peter describes it as “the world that then existed” (2 Peter 3:5-7). How long it continued in this condition we are not told, but an awful catastrophe occurred between verses one and two therefore submerging the earth in water.

Isaiah 45:18 states:
For thus says the LORD,
      Who created the heavens,
      Who is God,
Who formed the earth and made it,
      Who has established it,
Who did not create it in vain,
Who formed it to be inhabited:
" I am the LORD, and there is no other."

God did not create chaotically, nor did He communicate chaotically. He revealed Himself in truth and righteousness as the absolute and Supreme God. Since God did not create the earth waste and empty, a great cataclysm could only explain the chaotic condition of verse two.
