YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF (James 1:8)

YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF (James 1:8)
It is called "the royal law" because it belongs to the King and because it is the king of all laws. If we really loved our neighbors as ourselves, we would treat them all the way that we would want to be treated. We would not want to be despised simply because we were poor. We should not show contempt to others for this reason. "Loving your neighbor as yourself" means that we should care for others as we care for ourselves. We should be willing to share our material possessions with those who are not as privileged as we are. Above all, we should do all in our power to see that they have the opportunity to know the blessed Savior. Our neighbor is any person who has a need which we can help meet (Luke 10:29-37).
