2. Daniel 3:8-12.
Daniel has been exalted to a great place of power and authority (Daniel 2:48-49). He is at his post.
The conspicuous absence of our resident “strong one” is a divine set up to step up. Allow God to show you what He can do with you. There comes a time in our lives when we have to step up. Respond to circumstances that God has placed you in. The circumstances have ordained that it is our time of weakness, so that we can see the strength of God in us.
Nebuchadnezzar gives them another chance (verse 15). They do not address him by his title; the “king” is missing (verse 16). No Daniel in sight. That was a step up. It was a spiritual promotion, if we’ve ever seen one take place.
