MATTHEW 6:6

MATTHEW 6:6

But when you pray, go into your private room, shut your door, and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

The verse contains a tacit implication that first my Father in heaven wants me to come and meet with Him.

Next, the fact that my Father has been waiting in secret hits me.

Maybe I haven’t experienced Him as much as I’ve wanted because He was in the secret and I was in the public?

The greatest reward is Him. Oh, that I would fully dwell in Psalm 37:4:

Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

When I delight myself in the Lord, He rewards me with the delight of my soul: Himself.
