FROM THE JOURNAL OF ESTHER - A REFLECTION OF HER FIRST DAY BEING QUEEN OF PERSIA (Esther 2:15-17)

FROM THE JOURNAL OF ESTHER

A REFLECTION OF HER FIRST DAY BEING QUEEN OF PERSIA (Esther 2:15-17)

Kenute P. Curry

Never in my wildest imagination would I have dreamed that I would be Queen someday.
This is too good to be true!
This crown really has to get off my head; I’ve had enough of it for one day
I’m tired of smiling at every dignitary from here to Ethiopia
Sleep, sleep; oh, how I need sleep
But am too excited
Maybe I should take a Xanax
Yes, that will relax me
Oh, Lord, help me
Xerxes is coming for his romantic interlude before bedtime
Should I roll over and play sleep?
It’s a thought and a good one at that……..
