THE SEAL OF THE LIVING GOD (Conclusion)

THE SEAL OF THE LIVING GOD (Conclusion)

Kenute P. Curry

In conclusion, we look at Jesus words found in John 10:27-29:

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given themto Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. (John 10:27-29)

Jesus is here pictured as the Good Shepherd who cares for His sheep, and He has the power to keep the believers safe and secure. The Greek word for snatch here is “ἁρπάζω harpázō” which means to take or pull away by force. God the Father ultimately stands behind the believer’s security which is in Christ Jesus, so we are doubly secured. The believer is given everlasting life, forever and ever, and not one of them will ever, ever be destroyed. No one, and absolutely no one, can take you or pull you away by force out of God’s hand.

Every believer that names the name of Christ and truly puts their faith and trust in Him is eternally secure. Amen.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)
