THE CREATION OF THE EARTH AND MAN, AND THE FALL OF THE SHINING ONE (Part 6)

THE CREATION OF THE EARTH AND MAN, AND THE FALL OF THE SHINING ONE (Part 6)

DAY 3: (a) DRY LAND REAPPEARS

Then God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dryland appear”; and it was so. And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters He called Seas. And God saw that it was good. (Genesis 1:9-10).
God simply reversed the cataclysmic convulsions that submerged the original earth and by upheaval, with the rising and sinking of land, caused the earth to emerge from its watery grave, forming the seas, continents, islands, rivers, and lakes. (Psalm 104:6-9) Each act brings order out of disorder, form out of formlessness, and cosmos out of chaos. Each act also demonstrates God’s power and wisdom (Proverbs 8:22-31).

(b) VEGETATION REAPPEARS

Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth”; and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. So the evening and the morning were the third day. (Genesis 1:11-13).
God set in motion a providential process whereby the vegetable kingdom could reproduce through seeds which would maintain each one’s unique characteristics. This was not a new creation but a resurrection. These seeds were already in the earth having been buried by the waters that submerged the earth into total chaos. The seeds of the grass, herb and fruit are called upon to germinate and grow as they did before the catastrophe occurred that submerged them in water. Before vegetation appeared, the earth was watered by a mist rather than by rain (Genesis 2:6).
