THE CREATION OF THE EARTH AND MAN, AND THE FALL OF THE SHINING ONE (Part 4)

THE CREATION OF THE EARTH AND MAN, AND THE FALL OF THE SHINING ONE (Part 4)

Kenute P.  Curry

The book of Isaiah, chapter 14:12-15 states:
“ How you are fallen from heaven,
      O Lucifer, son of the morning!
      How you are cut down to the ground,
      You who weakened the nations!
      For you have said in your heart:

      ‘ I will ascend into heaven,
      I will exalt my throne above the stars of God;
      I will also sit on the mount of the congregation
      On the farthest sides of the north;
      I will ascend above the heights of the clouds,
      I will be like the Most High.’
      Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol,
      To the lowest depths of the Pit.

Jesus stated in Luke 10:18, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven,” which corroborates with this passage of Scripture in Isaiah, chapter 14.  This passage records the notorious five “I will’s” of Lucifer, the bright or shining one, Satan, and makes it clear that pride was his downfall.  They are classified as:
1.      I will ascend into heaven, giving us the view here that his intention was to ascend into heaven and take over God’s throne. Position
2.      I will exalt my throne above the stars of God, telling us that he was intending to usurp God’s authority over the angels. Rule
3.      I will also sit on the mount of the congregation, referring to Satan trying to take over God’s Kingdom rule and the place of Messiah. Idolized
4.      I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, speaking of his wanting to ascend above the glory of God. Dazzling
5.      I will be like the Most High, referring to his wanting to take over as the Supreme One. Equality
His beauty was immediately corrupted and every angelic being that followed him was doomed with him forever. He is also despised and damned to the pit. When Satan fell, he fell fast and took one third of the angels with him (Revelation 12:4, 9). Death awaits those who try to be like God.

It is intimated in scripture that Lucifer (who is called Satan and the Devil) with a host of angelic beings was placed in charge of the original or pre-adamite earth. According to Isaiah 14:12-17, Lucifer had some kind of throne and apparently he was under the clouds which would lead us to believe that he ruled over some kind of kingdom here on the original earth. In Genesis 1:28, God told Adam and Eve to “fill” or “replenish” the earth, so there had to be some kind of civilization here before them. The six days of creation in Genesis 1:3-31 describe God’s re-creation of the chaotic earth. Satan sought to be equal with God and to punish him the earth was throwed into a chaotic state, therefore submerging it in water and rendering the earth formless and void as stated in Genesis 1:2.  2 Peter 3:5-6 states:

For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water.

In this passage, Peter does not refer to the flood of Noah’s day, for the world of Noah’s day did not perish; but he is describing the destruction of the original earth as “the world that then existed”. The manner in which the original earth was destroyed was by violent convulsions of water that covered its surface.

Jeremiah 4:23-26 states:

I beheld the earth, and indeed it was without form, and void;
      And the heavens, they had no light.
      I beheld the mountains, and indeed they trembled,
      And all the hills moved back and forth.
      I beheld, and indeed there was no man,
      And all the birds of the heavens had fled.
      I beheld, and indeed the fruitful land was a wilderness,
      And all its cities were broken down
      At the presence of the LORD

      By His fierce anger.

Here, Jeremiah gives an account of the destruction of the original or pre-adamite earth, which was inhabited and its inhabitants lived in cities. If human beings lived on the earth at this time, they must have been involved in Satan’s fall and destroyed. Many believe the “demons” to be the disembodied spirits of the race that were on the earth at that particular time. Archaeological discoveries also tell us that prehistoric animals and winged creatures also existed. We do not know how long a period elapsed between the creation of the original earth and it becoming formless and void, neither do we know how long it continued in that condition. God’s purpose in destroying the pre-adamite earth was to eradicate all historic monuments and evidence of the sinfulness of that race.
