AS IT WAS IN THE DAYS OF NOAH
We are living in serious and perilous times, and things in this world will only intensify as the return of Christ draws near. We are challenged to live a righteous life as Noah did in his day and time.
Genesis 6:8 states "Noah, however, found favor in the sight of the LORD." Verse 9 tells us that "Noah was a righteous man, blameless among his contemporaries; Noah walked with God."
2 Peter 2:5 states that Noah was "a preacher of righteousness."
Noah was faithful to Almighty God, building the ark and preaching for 120 years without a single soul being converted to Christ. God's patience waited long in the days of Noah until judgement came and swept all of the godless and wicked civilization away.
Jesus states in Matthew 24:37-39 " As the days of Noah were, so the coming of the Son of Man will be. For in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah boarded the ark. They didn’t know until the flood came and swept them all away."
Flash-forward to today's society and you will see a paralleling trend to Noah's days. We are living in a godless civilization that is out of control with no moral restraint and no regard for human life at all. People are self-centered in their own pleasures of hedonism and debauchery, spiraling on a fast downward trend.
In this day and age that we live in, we are called to be beacons of light, demonstrating the love and compassion of Christ to others, with the truth of the Word of God. Those of us who are true followers of Christ can look around us and see that the trumpet sound and the voice of the archangel is near. Let's get busy and do what we have been called to do as servants of the Most High God. After all, Jesus did tell us "“If anyone wants to come with Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me."
Judgment is at hand, and I hear the sound of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse in the distance!
Let us be Noah's (Gospel Voice) in our day and time.
