Revelation 1:1-8
1. (a) The things which you have seen - Chapter 1 – Past
(b) The things which are - Chapters 2 & 3 – Present
(c) The things which will take place after this - Chapters 4 – 22 – Future
2. Revelation means to uncover – reveal – unveil (Apokalupsis, Gk. Romans 8:19)
3. Reading – Hearing – Obeying are the truths taught in the book of Revelation and the rest of Scripture.
4. God’s eternal presence is not limited by time (Exodus 3:14; Hebrews 13:8)
5. Jesus Christ is always speaking truth (Revelation 3:14; John 18:37)
6. Of all those who have ever been raised from the dead, Christ is the Preeminent One (Psalm 89:27; 1 Corinthians 15:20-23)
7. Christ has absolute sovereignty over the affairs of this world (Revelation 5:1)
8. Christ loves believers with an unbreakable love (Romans 8:35-39)
9. We tell forth the Excellencies of Him who called us out of darkness into His marvelous light
10. The clouds picture Christ’s descent from Heaven
11. He is Almighty from the beginning to the end of all creation
