BRONZE AND IRON

BRONZE AND IRON

True bronze (Gen. 4:22) is an alloy of copper and tin. Iron (v. 22) is an element that in its pure state is soft. Its usefulness for making tools and weapons did not appear until it could be reliably combined with carbon to make steel. It was still rare in the time of Pharaoh Tutankhamen (1336–1327 B.C.). One dagger was discovered in his tomb.
