WEDDING JOY

Beloved, each one of us should be ecstatically happy that we will be in attendance at the “Marriage Supper of the Lamb.” Christ brought joy to the wedding in Cana and the feast thereafter. Can you imagine what joy it will be at the wedding to end all weddings in heaven!
John 2:2-4
1. WHEN WE THINK OF “DOING MINISTRY” WE SHOULD SEE THE WORD OF GOD GOING FORTH TO BRING LOST SOULS INTO THE KINGDOM, PRODUCING RIGHTEOUSNESS, PEACE, AND JOY, THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT.
2. WE SHOULD HAVE GLADNESS IN OUR HEARTS. THE PSALMIST EQUATES LIGHT WITH JOY AND RIGHTEOUSNESS (Psalm 4:7; 97:11).
Psalm 5:11; 9:2, 14; 32:11; 35:9
3. YAHWEH, OUR GOD, REJOICES OVER US WITH GLADNESS; DELIGHTING IN US WITH SHOUTS OF JOY (Zephaniah 3:17).
4. JESUS USED THE ANALOGY OF A WEDDING PARTY, AND ANSWERED, THAT AS LONG AS HE WAS PRESENT WITH HIS FOLLOWERS, THERE WAS TOO MUCH IRREPRESSIBLE JOY FOR FASTING (Matthew 9:15).
5. AS A GROOM REJOICES OVER HIS BRIDE, GOD WILL REJOICE OVER US (Isaiah 62:5).
Psalm 100:2
6. WE ARE ALL LOOKING FORWARD TO THE “MARRIAGE SUPPER OF THE LAMB.” THE CHURCH WAS BETROTHED TO CHRIST BY HIS SOVEREIGN CHOICE IN ETERNITY PAST (Revelation 19:7-9).
Oh the bliss of it all when I stand before Him face to face, clothed in the wedding garment of a saint!
