THE UNENDING PRESENCE OF GOD - Kenute P. Curry

THE UNENDING PRESENCE OF GOD
Kenute P. Curry

Think with me for a moment. Continual, unending, ceaseless, permanent – that is what God’s presence is to us. He is always there.

John 15:5

1. CONTINUOUS COMMUNICATION:
A. CONTINUE STEADFASTLY IN PRAYER (Romans 12:12).
B. PRAY ALWAYS IN THE SPIRIT (Ephesians 6:18).
C. LET YOUR REQUESTS BE MADE KNOWN IN PRAYER (Philippians 4:6).
D. CONTINUE EARNESTLY IN PRAYER (COLOSSIANS 4:2).
E. PRAY CONSTANTLY (1 Thessalonians 5:17).
2. THE ONE WHO DWELLS IN THE SECRET PLACE OF THE MOST HIGH ABIDES UNDER THE SHADOW OF THE ALMIGHTY (Psalm 91:1).
3. WE HAVE TO ABIDE (Continue In) THE WORD OF JESUS (John 8:31).
4. AS BELIEVERS, WE ARE TO CONTINUE IN THE DOCTRINE (Teaching) OF CHRIST (2 John 1:9).
2 John 1:2
5. JESUS COMMANDS US TO ABIDE IN HIM. IF NOT, WE WILL NOT PRODUCE ANY SPIRITUAL FRUIT (John 15:4).
6. WE CAN DO NOTHING WITHOUT JESUS. WITH HIM, WE CAN ASK WHAT WE DESIRE AND IT WILL BE DONE FOR US (JOHN 15:5, 7).
7. EVERY GOOD TREE PRODUCES GOOD FRUIT, AND EVERY BAD TREE PRODUCES BAD FRUIT (Matthew 7:17-18).
8. SPIRITUAL FRUIT:
A. LOVE.
B. JOY.
C. PEACE.
D. PATIENCE.
E. KINDNESS.
F. GOODNESS.
G. FAITHFULNESS.
H. GENTLENESS.
I. SELF-CONTROL.
J. RIGHTEOUSNESS.
K. TRUTH.
(Galatians 5:22-23; Ephesians 5:9)
9. WE ARE CALLED TO ABIDE IN JESUS SO THAT WE WILL HAVE CONFIDENCE IN HIM (1 JOHN 2:28).
Psalm 139:2-6
As believers of Christ we are to have continuous communication with Him through prayer, and day-to-day fellowship with Him in His Word; producing much spiritual fruit. We are never out of His sight!
