LISTENING EARS

Ah! The ears! They take in all kinds of voices and sounds. The best thing that we can do is to let the Holy Spirit fine-tune our ears to hear the words of Jesus.
Matthew 11:15
1. THE MIND OF THE DISCERNING ACQUIRES KNOWLEDGE, AND THE EAR OF THE WISE SEEKS IT (Proverbs 18:15).
Mark 8:18, Isaiah 6:10; 42:20; Jeremiah 5:21; Acts 7:51
2. THOSE WHO ARE READY TO LISTEN TO GOD; THEIR EARS WILL HAVE A COMMAND BEHIND IT SAYING “THIS IS THE WAY. WALK IN IT.” (Isaiah 30:21).
3. GOD DELIGHTS TO FIND EYES THAT WILL NOT BE CLOSED, AND EARS THAT WILL LISTEN (Isaiah 32:3). GOD ASKS THAT WE LISTEN CAREFULLY TO ALL OF HIS WORDS, AND TAKE THEM TO HEART (Ezekiel 3:10).
4. THE LORD CALLS “BLESSED” EYES THAT SEE, AND EARS THAT EAR (Matthew 13:16).
5. THE TIME WILL COME WHEN PEOPLE WILL NOT TOLERATE SOUND DOCTRINE; BUT WILL HAVE AN ITCH TO HEAR SOMETHING NEW, PRODUCED BY FALSE TEACHERS (2 Timothy 4:3).
Beloved, that day is surely here! False teaching is running rampant all over the globe. We must be in the Word of God on a daily basis to determine the true from the false. Let this attentive mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus; to listen to God on a daily basis through the Word, Prayer, and the encouragement of other true Christian believers. Let our ears be open, well-tilled, discriminate, and ready to hear God’s voice!
