SEEKING GOD - Kenute P. Curry

SEEKING GOD

Kenute P. Curry

What does it mean to seek God? The Almighty! The Sovereign Creator of the Universe! His Words spoke the worlds into existence! His love held Him to a cross for us! His resurrection power split the grave wide open! In the twinkling of an eye we will understand it all!
John 1:37-39
1. JESUS ASKED PAUL TO BE A WITNESS TO THE GENTILES, SO THAT BY FAITH IN HIM, THEY COULD RECEIVE FORGIVENESS OF SINS (Acts 26:12-18).
2. GOD REWARDS THOSE WHO DILIGENTLY SEEK HIM (Hebrews 11:6).
3. DETERMINE IN YOUR HEART AND MIND TO SEEK GOD (1 Chronicles 22:19). SEEK HIM WHILE HE MAY BE FOUND, AND CALL OUT TO HIM WHILE HE IS NEAR (Isaiah 55:6). WE ARE TO PLANT RIGHTEOUSNESS, AND WE WILL REAP FAITHFUL LOVE. IF WE SEEK HIM, HE WILL SEND RIGHTEOUSNESS ON US LIKE RAIN (Hosea 10:12).
4. GOD WANTS US TO SEEK HIM WITH ALL OF OUR HEART AND SOUL (Deuteronomy 4:29). WE WILL FIND THE LORD WHEN WE SEARCH FOR HIM WITH ALL OF OUR HEART (Jeremiah 29:13). KEEP ASKING – IT WILL BE GIVEN TO YOU; KEEP SEARCHING – YOU WILL FIND; KEEP KNOCKING – THE DOOR WILL BE OPENED TO YOU (Matthew 7:7).
Psalm 27:8
5. THE LORD IS GOOD TO THE PERSON WHO SEEKS HIM (Lamentations 3:25).
6. IF WE TRUST IN YAHWEH AND SEEK HIM, HE WILL NOT ABANDON US (Psalm 9:10).
Psalms 27:4; 34:4; 105:4; 119:2; Ephesians 2:18.
7. THOSE WHO SEEK GOD ARE HUMBLE PEOPLE (Psalm 69:32).
Psalm 105:3
SUMMARY – We are to be diligent, enjoying the peace of Christ, having a spotless character and a blameless reputation (2 Peter 3:14).
We are to be diligent, correctly imparting God’s Word, completely, accurately, and clearly to all who will listen (2 Timothy 2:15).
Risk whatever it takes to see Christ!
