PSALM OF DIVINE HELP

O LORD, if you had not been on my side
I would still be sinking down in that murky pit
The waters would have raged over my head
I would have been drowned in a sea of immorality and emotional turmoil
I receive the daily deliverance that you give me through your Word
As you conform me to the image of your Son
You LORD God, will fight for me, as you promised
And I will be more than victorious through Jesus Christ, your Son
Nothing will separate us from your love
