NO MAN CAN TAME THE TONGUE (James 3:7-8)
The tongue is likened to a wild, untamable creature. All kinds of beasts, birds, serpents, and marine life can be tamed. There is no reason to believe there is any kind of creature that could not be tamed by man, given sufficient time and persistence. But no man can tame the tongue! If we are honest, we will have to admit that this is true in our own lives.... Because of the fall, we have lost dominion over this small piece of flesh. Human nature does not have the ability or strength to govern this little member. Only God can bring it under control! The tongue can poison minds and assassinate characters. The price we have to pay for the undisciplined use of our tongue is enormous.
