THE TEN COMMANDMENTS (Part 3)
The nine commandments which are repeated in the Epistles are not given as law, but as instruction in righteousness for the people of God. Jesus is saying "If you want to know what I expect of you, you will find it throughout the New Testament." There you will find nine of the ten commandments repeated, but you will also find the teachings of the Lord Jesus. His teachings call for a higher standard of conduct than the law required.
