LAY ASIDE ALL FILTHINESS AND ALL OVERFLOW OF WICKEDNESS (James 1:21)
1. FILTHINESS - This includes every form of impurity, whether spiritual, mental, or physical.
2. WICKNESS - This refers to evil desire or intent which would impede the believers spiritual hearing.
The over-all meaning is clear. In order to receive the truth of the Word of God, we must be morally clean.
