The only absolute connection between sin and physical infirmities is that we live in a fallen world. Our assumption from Scripture is that problems such as disease and poverty resulted from the fall into sin. Beyond that we can make no other assumptions.

Sometimes Christ emphasized forgiveness of sin when He healed, but other times He didn’t. Perhaps our safest supposition is that sometimes sin was an issue and other times it was not.

Whether or not sin has ever made you physically ill, couldn’t we each say that we’ve been somehow paralyzed by it at one time or another?

Christ’s forgiveness caused me finally to be healed from the crippling fear that resulted from sin.
